Introduction #
Designing terrace houses, apartment or condominium often involves creating multiple similar units within the development. This process can be time-consuming and labour-intensive, but in MiLA structure, we have the features like gird mirror and copy, engineer, architect can streamline the drafting, modelling, analysis more efficiently.
Grid mirroring and copying allowed users to duplicate and mirror elements across a defined grid, making it easier to create symmetrical and repetitive designs. By defining a grid and applying mirror or copy command, users can replicate entire units or specific components with precision and efficiency.

The grid mirror or grid copy function can be activated by clicking the ‘grid’ button, followed by selecting either the ‘mirror’ or ‘copy’ button.

After creating the model, we used to manually redraw the other side of the house. This was time-consuming, especially for complex projects. In MiLA Structure, the grid copy feature is available where users can duplicate to other side effortlessly. It is just clicking the end grid; the other side of the structure will be transformed.

Conclusion #
Grid mirror and copy features offer civil engineers a powerful tool for creating similar units within terrace house developments efficiently. By leveraging these functionalities, engineers can streamline the design process, reduce repetitive tasks, and ensure consistency across multiple units. As the structure continues to evolve, embracing features like grid mirror and copy will become increasingly essential for optimizing workflow and delivering high-quality terrace house designs.
